## Here’s how BeSound works

### Step 01

#### Intake & Risk Assessment

When you sign up, you’ll complete intake and consent forms. You also have the option of taking the Tyrer-Cuzick breast cancer risk quiz, which calculates your predicted lifetime risk of breast cancer.

A clinician reviews your information and, if medically indicated, places the appropriate order for your BeSound scan.

### Step 02

#### Screening Ultrasound

If you have no symptoms, you’ll start with a screening ultrasound. Ultrasound is particularly effective for dense breast tissue and younger women.

Most of the time, scans are clear or show benign findings such as cysts or fibroadenomas.

### Step 03

#### Expert Review & Results

All images are interpreted by a breast imaging physician with over 35 years of experience. Typically you can expect to see results in your BeSound portal in 24 hours.

### Step 04

#### Additional Care Coordination

If your scan suggests further evaluation, our care team helps you schedule a biopsy at a nearby center. If additional imaging is required, we coordinate that too.
